Riza 45 mm x 31.8 mm stem

Chromag are the only maker of quality after market stems that offer a stem that is near to the magic 44 mm (matching trail on a 29” fork) for that balanced, neutral steering one wishes to have on a perfectly balanced bike.
Whilst the Riza is overbuilt for my purposes it is nice to know that it can take the kind of slams that Ramage winners hand out to their bikes when it doesn’t all go to plan.

The machine marks give it a harmonious aesthetic and the use of M6 bolts on the steerer and the face plate mean that only one tool is required to fettle this premium component. Chromag don’t offer an upgrade kit and probably have strong feelings about steel bolts but I feel that the rainbow titanium bolts I have used give it a certain pop.

The main reason to run it is the neutral steering and no-one else makes anything close to a 44 mm stem in the 31.8 mm standard.

Great customer service with prompt answers to questions and fairly swift dispatch into the post.

I have them on all three bikes now as they hit that perfect length between 40 mm (too short) and 50 mm (too long).

I am a chromag athlete, and having got my hands on this snazzy number when they came out i can't get over how good it looks and performs! i have one on the slope bike and another on the pedal rig and its honestly an amazing stem to run, not only is it dead sexy but stiff too! it's a dream build item for me! 10/10

CNC Machining is a process in which a piece of raw material or stock is cut into a final desired shape using a computer controlled machine and often several different machine tools. Depending on the operation in question different tools are called, for example ball mills, end mills, thread mills, taps and slitting saws to name a few, all have different uses and come in all manner of shapes and sizes.

Machining produces extremely accurate parts, often to within 0.001" (I know, Canada is mostly metric but the industry predominately uses imperial units), and is renowned for creating a very high-end look with 3D surfacing and clean, strong edges which forging cannot produce.

Because every aspect of the part must be "cut out" machined parts take a long time to produce. A Ranger body for example takes 20 minutes to machine (the face plate is made separately), then it still needs to be deburred, quality checked, anodised, laser etched and assembled.

Our CNC Machined parts are generally more expensive than our Forged parts.
